James Sanchez - Owner & Stylist

Born and raised in Denver, CO., after attending the University Colorado, James started his carrer as a Package Designer for Coors Brewing Company, Later moving to Integer and then Cactus Communications as a Art Director. His first start into the world of salons began 10 years ago when James and Marina Cardenas started their first Aveda salon together. As a young entrepreneur seeking to make tremendous strides in the beauty industry. James has opened several other salons and also recieved a stylist licence. The vision that he has for VIDA Salon goes beyond his hometown, and reaches for national acclaim. James has created a hip urban environment established to cater to all walks of life; targeting males, females and both young and old.

Heather Halley
Floor Manager / Senior Stylist

An accomplished stylist of 7 years who has dedicated herself to working at Vida Salon with Aveda and their philosophies for her entire career.  She is very passionate about her work and always takes time to listen to what her guests want and helps them integrate their ideas with what she thinks will work best for their hair, face structure and life style. Heather prides herself on giving each guest her individual care and attention.

Carolyn Zavodny
Senior Stylist & Cutting Coach

Carolyn has been with Vida Salon since 2005. Originally from Colorado, she moved to Chicago to attend cosmetology school in 2002, and has been following her passion ever since. She has advanced training in color and cutting techniques and is extremely knowledgeable with Aveda. She is passionate about continuing education so she can offer outstanding services. She also helps educate her guests on how to recreate their own look every day. Carolyn looks at each guest as an individual and specializes in creating a look for each person, whether it is with color or cutting, that works best with their features and lifestyle.

Susan Newman — Stylist

Susan graduated from Antoine du Chez in August 2006 and has been creating amazing hair for her guests ever since. She joined Vida Salon in September 2006. Susan is extremely knowledgeable with Aveda. Her main passion is giving her guests amazing hair that they can recreate everyday.

Sarah Winters — Stylist

Known for her amazing sense of aesthetic, there's no wonder why this seasoned stylist possesses the vision and ability to personalize each cut for every guest that sits in her chair. Sarah began and has continued her education with high honors through Aveda, working with distinguished leaders of the industry such as Rudy Miles, Hauns Korplea and Lisa Vann. She believes that hair is an extension of your personality, it should appear and move naturally to fit the contour of your face.
